BIO

bus-photoThroughout my professional and personal life, I have known mothers and fathers desperate to help their teenagers, but not sure where to start or what to change. I dedicate my practice to them and to you — the inspiring parents who never give up.

Below you will find a list of my “paper credentials.” They attest to my training and experience as a social worker, counselor and lawyer.  In those professions, I have worked with clients of all ages and walks of life.

But those are my least important credentials. First and foremost, I have raised three grown children who once were teenagers.  So if you tell me about the overwhelm, the anxiety, the joy, the fear, the guilt, the promise, the relief, the fatigue, the frustration and all the hope, resolve and gratitude you have, I will hear you.  I won’t judge you as incompetent or diagnose you as mentally ill. And I won’t insult you with textbook answers.

I am here as your ally and guide. I believe that you want to build a loving, trusting relationship with your teen.    You want to make it so strong that it will last a lifetime.  And you want your own life to be full — but to always support that relationship.

I am committed to helping you achieve these goals . . . because they have been my own goals.
